Sixth medermis congress in Zurich

On 20 and 21 March 2026, the 6th medermis Congress took place at the AMERON Zürich Bellerive au Lac – right on the shores of Lake Zurich. Over the course of two days, the medermis network came together to exchange professional insights, gain strategic inspiration and, above all, experience what makes medermis special: a genuine sense of connection across locations.

Professionally strong – with topics that have taken us further

The congress opened on Friday evening with two topics that are increasingly shaping everyday medical practice: a presentation on cyber security raised awareness of digital security, followed by an update on the new GOÄ (German Medical Fee Schedule) and the associated opportunities and challenges for practices and doctors.

Saturday morning was entirely devoted to the “State of the Union”. The management team provided a joint overview of the current status of the medermis Group and looked ahead to the next steps and developments.

In addition, the congress set clear medical priorities: in her keynote address, Dr Bettina Rümmelein explored the topic of skin ageing and current treatment options in procedural dermatology. This was complemented by a practical specialist presentation by Dr Bernd Algermissen, who introduced the KTP laser as a versatile all-rounder.

Encounters that brought people together

The medermis Congress was deliberately designed to allow plenty of scope for personal encounters alongside the professional content. At the welcome drinks reception, the ‘Taste of Zurich’ dinner and the subsequent get-together in the ‘medermis Lakeside Lounge’, conversations developed that went beyond the presentations – open, collegial and on an equal footing.

For many participants, Friday actually began even earlier with a joint guided tour of Zurich. This relaxed start provided an opportunity to get to know one another before the official programme began, and noticeably contributed to the open, friendly atmosphere of the following days.

It was precisely this blend of content and interaction that defined the congress: colleagues became contacts, familiar names became personal connections – and many individual locations coalesced into a strong collective ‘we’. In this way, the sense of connection that underpins the medermis network became tangible.

More than a congress

The 6th medermis Congress impressively demonstrated how important personal interaction is for a growing group. It made it clear that community is not only created through structures, but above all through encounters, conversations and shared perspectives.

With plenty of new ideas, strengthened relationships and the satisfying feeling of being part of a strong network, two inspiring days in Zurich came to an end – days that will continue to have a lasting impact.
