On 26 and 27 September 2025, our fifth medermis congress took place in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Starnberg. Two intensive days with high-quality professional input, lively exchange and inspiring interaction.

What is the medermis congress?

The medermis congress is our central forum where doctors and employees of the medermis group come together. The aim of this event is to combine current scientific developments, strategic issues and practical experience, thereby promoting the internal exchange of knowledge and experience. In a protected, collegial setting, synergies are created that extend beyond individual practices.

Aims of the congress

• Strengthen professional exchange among participants and convey new ideas from research and practice

• Identify strategic perspectives for the further development of the medermis group

• Deepen personal contact and networking within the group

Keynote speech & inspiration

One highlight of the congress was the keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Dr. Prof. h. c. Thomas Bieber on the topic of ‘Treatment of chronic inflammatory skin diseases: Quo vadis?’. With great expertise and foresight, he provided important insights into how future treatments could develop.

In addition, Ulrich Mauerer, Thomas Rudolf and Michael Karb presented a review of the milestones achieved by medermis clinics to date and introduced forward-looking projects. Particularly exciting: Dr. Markus Hamm was officially introduced as the future chairman of the advisory board.

Supporting programme & networking

The congress offered more than just specialist presentations:

• A get-together at Lake Starnberg provided an opportunity for relaxed conversations with a fantastic view

• The joint trip to the Oktoberfest created a relaxed atmosphere and encouraged personal networking

• Discussions in small groups, informal breaks and joint activities provided space for exchange and new ideas
